Good day to you all! Are you looking forward to Easter? I certainly am. The whole weekend is jam packed with all sorts of things to do. Parks and churches across the city are hosting Easter egg hunts. Baskets and jelly beans are flying off the shelves. While I was putting the finishing touches on my Easter preparations, I remembered I don’t have anything festive for my door. So I decided to make a door hanger that I easily can change for every season.
With a few frames from the thrift store, this door hanger can be changed for each holiday. I have also created an adorable mini Easter banner printout to share with you. It is entirely up to you how you wish make this versatile project your own.
Hello everyone! And hello spring! I feel like I talk about the weather all the time. But in Minnesota the weather is always unpredictable and a topic of discussion. Thankfully this week is going to be perfect for enjoying time outside with family. It’s so nice to actually enjoy the outdoors without having to worry about freezing to death. Before walks, water sports, and camping, I need to replace some items that wore out last year. To get the gear I need this spring, I first checked out Heartland America. Right now they have a variety of products to make the most of the coming spring and summer months. So I wanted to share with you a few of the things I found that will help you stock up for spring.
Get your guy ready to tackle outdoor work and play with great spring gear.
Don’t lose track of time outside with this nautical dive watch from Del Mar®. This sturdy and handsome watch is made to last with a screw down crown and mineral glass lens. It also features luminous hands so he can check the time even when the sun goes down.
Hello everyone! I hope the weather where you are has been enjoyable, at least some of the time. Our weather in Minnesota is persists in being unpredictable. But that’s how it usually is. It is nice springy one day, and then it’s frosty winter the next. I’m already tempted to start cleaning, but with snow in the forecast I’ll just have to start preparing. This week I have some ideas of what you will need for your spring cleaning.
No matter the work need outdoors, here are some great tools to get the job done.
Clean up your patio, driveway, and garage floor with a Sun Joe electric leaf blower. With two speed that produce up to 215 mph wind speed, you can blast through those dead leaves and debris that you missed in the fall.
Good day everyone! Thank you for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are taking sometime to read a good book and celebrate Read Across America Day. I am an avid reader myself. So I will have my nose in a good book as soon as possible. Then I will probably stay up till 3am to finish said book because that’s just the way I am. 😀 The The first author to encourage me to read, along with so many others, was the wonderful and whimsical Dr. Seuss. Today is also his birthday. So in honor of both reading and Seuss, I’ve decided to repurpose a children’s book into an adorable picture mat.
Of course I had to use a book of Dr. Seuss. The illustrations are perfect for embellishing a picture mat. Not to mention that they are just so fun and colorful, perfect for a kid’s bedroom or playroom. With a used copy of Dr. Seuss and a thrifted picture frame and mat, you can create a whimsical place to showcase a family memory.
Good day all! How was your Valentine’s Day? Mine was excellent and so very fun. I love spending time with my family. Now that Valentine’s is over it feels like things will get back to normal again…at least until Easter. I had wanted to share this DIY project with you back in January, but it wasn’t meant to be. With life returning to it’s usual level of busyness, this repurposed vintage book planner keeps things organized fabulously.
I love that this repurposed project is completely customizable. You can make a one of a kind creation with a thrifted book, scrapbooking supplies and your imagination. Also I have designed some pages you can print out to fill your planner and keep your schedule organized year after year.
Happy Groundhog Day everyone! It’s odd that we rely on a giant rodent for the impending forecast, but it is a cute tradition. Whether we have six more weeks of winter or not, at least we have Valentine’s Day coming up to warm our hearts. As a child I remember making Valentine’s mailboxes in class. They were so fun to make and everyone exchanged Valentine’s cards. So there’d always be a big haul of cards and candy to enjoy. I don’t get all the cards and candy I used too, which is good for my waist line. But I do get even more love from my family. So I wanted to create a message board to show off all the love in our home.
This repurposing project turns a baking tin into this lovely message board. Chalkboard paint lets you leave sweet little messages for that someone special. Not to mention that you can display all the thoughtful cards and valentines from the most important people in your life. With a little money and effort, you can create your own repurposed message board and spread the love this Valentine’s Day.
Happy New Year everyone! A brand new year is just beginning, and I hope to make the most of it. What resolutions have you made to start this year off right? The ones I’m hoping to maintain this year are probably similar to the ones you’ve made: get organized, live better, and get active. Thankfully Heartland America has a bunch of products to help us all keep our healthy resolutions. I’ve put together a few collections of items that will make those New Year’s resolutions easier to keep the whole year through.
Let’s start with getting in shape.
Gym’s can be expensive and intimidating, especially if you are not in the best shape. Heartland America has a great selection of exercise equipment so you can get in shape in the comfort of your own home.
Both you and your kids will love having this Cardio Trainer Mini Trampoline. After months of being cooped up inside it’s wonderful to jump around with a fun aerobic workout. This mini trampoline comes stabilizing bar, durable construction, and folds up for compact and easy storage.
Hello everyone! Here at Heartland America, we’ve been crazy busy making sure all your Christmas gifts arrive on your doorstep. I want to thank everyone for all the orders that have been coming in. There is still a little bit of time to get your orders placed in time for Christmas. So for all those who are still need some gifts, I’ve got some great ideas for you!
The gift of warm hands will warm their heart.
Gloves make an awesome gift for everyone. You can never have too many gloves especially if you live in a bitterly cold winters of Minnesota. These great insulated gloves are available Men’s and Women’s black leather and Men’s and Women’s brown leather. So they are perfect for every style and anyone on your list.
I’m so bummed! It’s December, and there is no snow here in Minnesota. I know! It’s quite a shock to us as well. Although it is nice that the roads have been lovely, and I haven’t had to shovel. But it does not feel like Christmas without snow covered landscapes and frosted window panes. With the possibility of not getting a white Christmas, it’s even more important to make the inside my home festive and bright. I filled my faux tree with ornaments, but the rest of my home needs a bit more Christmas cheer. Inspired by the frost that should be on my windows, I created a frosted Christmas shadow box.
It reminds me of making “baby feet” with my hands on the car window. Glitter and glue makes the frosted effect: so melting isn’t a problem. Adding a string of lights inside the shadow box, gives off a warm holiday glow. You can make it completely your own with any word or simple clip art. The background can be whatever you want too.
Are you ready for fall yet? I can’t wait! I’m kinda over summer. If you have a student going into college, they are experiencing a mixture of excitement and nerves. The thought of living in the dorms is especially fun and a bit scary. When I was in college, my roommate and I made our room one of the cutest on that floor. Making the dorm room a comfy oasis is a must for students that are away from home. But that can get expensive, so this week I decided to do a budget decor DIY for any dorm room or bedroom.
These pillows can be made very cheaply or even free. You can customize these t-shirt pillows for anyone with the right shirt. I am currently on a t-shirt pillow making spree, as you can see. They are fun to make, and you can make your own in less than an hour.
