Last Minute Father’s Day Gift DIY: Fish Family Keychain

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying the glorious sunshine. Do you have any fun plans for this summer? While my family doesn’t have any big trips planned, I’m sure there will be plenty of fun. Hopefully we will get to camp a few weekends this summer, but with moving we will just have to see. Both of my parents have been a great help during the move. Having a retired carpenter in the family helps with everything. My dad has continually gone above and beyond. Father’s Day is just around the corner. While I have already bought him a Father’s Day gift, I wanted to make something for him as well. Since I used shrink plastic for a Mother’s Day gift last year, I wanted to use it for a DIY Father’s Day gift this year. My dad loves to fish so I created this adorable fish family keychain.

This cute little keychain is a fun way to show some family pride. With a sheet of shrink plastic and some bright permanent markers, you can create a personal school of fish for your family. Father’s Day Gift Ideas for Men Who Love to Work and Play in the Great Outdoors

Hello! I hope you and your family had a fantastic Memorial Day. It was an extra busy weekend for us. I just moved into a new house. As you can imagine, there are a plethora of things to do. When the sun is shining and the breeze is blowing, I escape the moving boxes and work on the new garden. My dad has been over quite a few times helping with everything. So moving hasn’t been so bad. But there’s still a lot to do and I want to show my appreciation to everyone helping out.

With Father’s Day coming up, I have a wonderful opportunity to express my gratitude for my dad. Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without him. While getting ready for Father’s Day, I put together a variety of products now available at Heartland America for all the outdoor loving dads out there.

First we have tools for dad’s who love doing projects around the house.

Father's Day 2018 - Tools
Simoniz Telescoping Wash Brush, Tornado Tools Cordless Grass Trimmer & Edger, Wagner Power Painter Pro, Koblenz 2-in-1 Pressure Washer

If he’s got some big boy toys, help dad keep them clean with this telescoping wash brush. Just connect the brush to a garden hose and fill the soap reservoir. The soap and water will mix so he can scrub away the dirt and grime from the boat, RV, or any other big boy toys. The pole telescopes to six feet for a thorough cleaning job. Now all his fun vehicles will be ready for the next adventure.

Add Rustic Charm to Your Easter Decor: DIY Nest Centerpiece

Happy Spring everyone! It is officially spring, and I can’t wait for the warmer temperatures. But we still have snow in Minnesota. A little snow can’t stop us hearty Minnesotans. If the snow hasn’t melted by Easter, we’ll just have to hunt eggs wrapped in plastic baggies like I remember doing as a child on several occasions. While I have to wait and see what the weather is up to, I can focus on making my Easter table beautiful. This year I wanted to make a centerpiece that was beautiful but didn’t overpower the table. Taking a cue from the birds I made a woven nest centerpiece.

Nest Centerpiece

This whimsical take on an avian home is a fantastic addition to any Easter decor. Transform a wire basket and an old book into this one of a kind celebration of spring. All you need is one weekend and a few basic craft supplies to create this charming DIY.

Not only is spring on it’s way, but Easter will be here before we know it. So Easter menus and plans need to be made as soon as possible.
