Happy holiday greetings everyone! Wasn’t Thanksgiving delicious? I think I’ve finally recovered from a delightful food haze. But there’s barely time to catch my breathe. Christmas will be here before we know it. With each passing day kids are getting more excited for Christmas. I love the enthusiasm, but it can add even more crazy to the holiday season. Santa’s has his helpers and every parent needs their kids to help out around Christmas time. So I decided to take a page from Santa’s playbook and create two kinds of Naughty and Nice Ornaments with some reward and consequence ideas to go with them.
These ornaments look great on the tree and encourage kids to make the right choices this holiday season. The inspiration for these DIYs is to reward kids for acts of kindness as well as helping out around the house. But they also recognize when attitudes and actions need some improvement. They are a cute and fun way to have teaching moments even during Christmas time.
Happy Thursday everyone! I had to recheck my calendar but it’s true: Thanksgiving is in one week. It seems like November just started. Soon it will be Christmas. Can you believe it? But lets not forget Thanksgiving. This year my family and I will be heading over grandma’s. I’m expecting anywhere from twenty to thirty relatives at Thanksgiving this year. Yeah, it’s a big group when the relatives get together. The dish I’ll be bringing this year is a cheesy artichoke dip.
It’s so hearty and yummy that it makes a perfect appetizer for the chilling holiday season. Making it in a sourdough loaf not only adds flavor, but also is a great serving dish. You can also make the center into croutons for plenty of bread for dipping. This cheesy, rich, gooey dip is fantastic for any party especially Thanksgiving.
Hello everyone! I hope you had a fun and safe Halloween. Now that it’s November, I’m already beginning plans for Christmas. I love Thanksgiving, and it is fast approaching. But Christmas is my favorite holiday and needs much more planning. Although I don’t start putting up Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving, it’s never to early to start shopping for Christmas gifts. This year promises to be busy. So getting a head start on shopping will help the rest of the holiday season proceed as smoothly as possible.
Over at Heartland America, there is a great selection of Christmas gifts from electronics, to men’s apparel and treats for special ladies in your life. This selection of great gifts will give you a head start, but there’s even more at Heartland America.
